CJ's Fly Fishing Adventures My passion is fly fishing for, and teaching my clients how to catch, steelhead, salmon, trout, and char on a fly. I teach both single handed and two handed (Spey) casting. I can teach a beginner the basic single handed cast in 15 minutes and have him or her casting 45 feet within a half hour. I supply all the equipment needed for a day of fly fishing minus waders, boots, and your fishing license. We float the rivers in a 16ft Clackacraft WF fly fishing model drift boat and stop to wade and fish the productive runs and gravel bars. I supply Orvis TLS Power Matrix and Fetha Styx Predator single handed fly rods and Sage 9140-4 14ft two handed Spey rods. The water I fish is dictated by the timing of the prevalent steelhead and salmon runs and the regulations set forth by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Leavenworth NFH (National Fish Hatchery) Complex The Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery Complex includes three fish hatcheries located in Leavenworth, Entiat and Winthrop. These hatcheries are operated by the U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Sport fishing for spring Chinook salmon is currently open on Icicle Creek below the Leavenworth NFH. Check with the Washington Dept. of Fish & Wildlife for closing date. Opportunities exist for fly fishing in the upper Icicle Creek for resident trout and in the Methow. Again, please check with WDF&W for regulations andrestrictions and area availability.
